At Home in Serbia

So, after a brief sojourn back in Blighty, I’ve been off on my travels again, and find myself in the lovely city of Kraljevo, where I will be helping the locals with the English language until late December. Hopefully, I’ll also have plenty of opportunities to go sight-seeing, hang out with Serbian friends, and absorb as much of the cultural life as I can. I’ve already visited Kalemegdan Park, Republic Square and Knez Mihaijlova Street up in Belgrade, and spent yesterday afternoon soaking up the atmosphere at the famous and historic Žiča monastery, which is just a short drive away from here in Kraljevo.

One early observation for anyone who’s never been to this part of the world: a tall, cool sok borovnica = heaven in a glass.
